Pacsun is seeking an Assistant Designer for Women’s Knits, Fleece, & Active to support the design team in turning concepts into completed styles. The role focuses on developing flat sketches, cohesive seasonal concepts, and preparing presentations with cross-functional collaboration across Mens and Womens teams.

Ideal candidates have 0–3 years design experience, knowledge of garment construction, CAD, and strong communication. Preference for AA degree or equivalent experience.

Formación

• Minimum 2yr AA Degree preferred in Design/Fashion Merchandising, or equivalent experience.
• Bamboo Rose or PDM training preferred.
• Timely sense of trends and market direction encompassing color, fabric and silhouette.
• Working knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, textiles and current finishing techniques and processes.
• 0-3 years design experience, which includes fabric sourcing, technical design, trim development and color training w/practical experience.
• Computer PC, MAC and CAD experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsabilidades

• Assist the designer in creating styles from concept to completion in whatever capacity is necessary.
• Work with the design team to develop flat sketches, create cohesive concepts each season and prepare for presentations.
• Collaborate with Mens and Womens team for Concept Presentations.
• Help execute the concepts of the designer with attention to detail and urgency to meet deadlines.
• Monitors development of preproduction samples with Product Managers.
