Job summary

Nordstrom's Product Group in Seattle is seeking a design–focused assistant to support the design team across milestones, prep for key meetings, and manage design projects from concept to delivery.

A design degree with a strong portfolio is required, plus proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite, hand‑sketch ability, and clear written and verbal communication. You will collaborate with cross‑divisional partners and help prepare trend reports and competitive analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Design; strong portfolio or CV.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently or in a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite and Adobe Creative Suite; ability to hand-sketch; quick to adapt to new technology and systems.
• Strong time management and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Design team to prep for key milestones.
• Assist Design Director with buy meeting prep.
• Plan, facilitate and/or execute assigned design projects.
• Support the Design Director with preparation of the trend report.
• Collaborate with design team and cross-divisional partners.
• Research trends and competitive brands.
