Job summary

Dreamwear is seeking an Assistant Designer for Kids across multiple brands in a fast-paced environment. The role involves assisting with seasonal development, trend research, and production-ready artwork, with emphasis on prints and color direction.

You will collaborate with senior designers and cross-functional teams to manage tech packs, artwork, and sample development, while maintaining organized libraries and schedules.

Qualifications

• Degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
• Previous internship or other relevant industry experience strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Illustrator & Photoshop is required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Positive, collaborative attitude and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Passion for fashion and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development of seasonal and customer-driven Kids collections across multiple brands.
• Research seasonal trends, colors, prints, and silhouettes to support the development of new collections.
• Work with senior team members on print, artwork, and color selection.
• Assist with flat sketching and maintain organized fabric, trim, and color libraries.
• Execute production-ready print and graphic artwork, ensuring artwork is accurately sized and prepared for production.
• Create organized and accurate technical development packages, including construction details, sketches, fabrications, trims, prints, and color specifications.
• Prepare and send tech packs, sample requests, production artwork, and color standards.
• Communicate with overseas factories regarding product development and production needs.
• Track and follow up on sample development, fabric sourcing, and related deliverables.
• Partner with Design and cross-functional teams to ensure projects remain organized and on schedule.
