Job summary

URBN is seeking a home goods design specialist in Philadelphia to help create innovative, brand-consistent solutions for our home product range. The role requires collaborating with Designers and Buyers to develop seasonal assortments and present design concepts.

You will research trends, source materials, and translate insights into detailed product specifications and compelling presentations for internal teams. A strong eye for humor, wit, and a cohesive design language is valued.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of home hard goods products including kitchen and room decor.
• Graphic Design applications and knowledge of construction details, manufacturing processes, and material specs.
• Ability to create detailed product specifications for vendors and to present solutions to teams.
• Strong computer skills with AI, Photoshop, Illustrator; ability to research trends and materials.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the creation of innovative and brand appropriate design solutions.
• Complete detailed design briefs for all new product development, internal and market product.
• Assist Designer with presenting design solutions to Design and Buying Teams.
• Respond to critique and direction with an open mind.
• Manage workload assigned to you by the Designer on a seasonal basis.
• Develop chase product closer to seasonal trends and needs.
• Work with Designer and Buyers to develop a cohesive product assortment.
• Attend follow-up meetings and manage workload accordingly.
• Communicate between Buyers, Design Coordinator and Production teams.
• Research globally and domestically for new materials, processes and fabrications.
• Keep current on Department and URBN brand initiatives.
• Research and present new product and trend ideas for each season.
