Job summary

REQ Solutions Pvt Ltd is seeking an Assistant Designer to contribute to commercially viable product designs across collections. You will assist with brand-right concepts, deliver sketches and CAD images, and help build the sample room.

Strong collaboration with Production, Tech, Merchants, and vendors is required. The role emphasizes a fashion-forward eye, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt designs based on feedback, with participation in routine team meetings and milestone reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Entry level with some design experience in a comparable retail environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; Centric a plus.
• Strong commercial fashion eye and attention to detail in product styling.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Collaborative, team-oriented and motivated to deliver results.
• Able to recall information and provide good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the design team in creating brand-right, commercial designs that reflect directional concepts.
• Deliver design sketches/prototypes and provide clear construction specifications.
• Build and maintain the sample room.
• Create flat sketches and CAD images.
• Prepare design team for meetings, coordinating line presentations and samples.
• Communicate development details to Production, Tech, Merchants and vendors.
• Partner with technical design on fit and prototype execution, assisting with fittings.
• Track and organize development samples and ensure timely handoffs.
• Attend routine meetings and align with key partners.
• Adapt designs based on feedback for finalization.
• Explore new ideas and stay updated on trends.
