Job summary

H-E-B is seeking an Assistant Department Manager to help supervise daily department operations and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment in Texas.

You will assist the Department Manager with staffing, performance reviews, inventory, budgeting, and compliance with safety and sanitation standards while leading a team of Partners to meet performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Assists Department Manager with schedules, appraisals, and interviews.
• Provides work direction and feedback to Partners.
• Assists with ordering, inventory, post-inventory paperwork, and budget/payroll.
• Performs routine inspections to ensure productivity, quality and sanitation.
• Receives, stocks, and merchandises product for the department.
• Assists Customers with inquiries or product selection.
• Maintains high levels of customer service through example and SOPs.
• Ensures compliance with regulations for product/food safety and sanitation.
• Performs Representative and Specialist duties as needed.
