University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) seeks an Assistant Dean for Development to lead a growing team of grateful patient and alumni gift officers and drive major gift fundraising. Reporting to the Associate Dean, this role sets strategy, builds donor pipelines, and aligns activities with institutional priorities across the University of Maryland Medicine.

The ideal candidate combines entrepreneurial thinking with a proven track record of philanthropy leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Ten+ years in development/alumni relations with at least five years in major gifts.

Responsabilités

• Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to a growing team of major gift officers.
• Develop and implement fundraising strategies aligned with institutional priorities.
• Analyze fundraising metrics and prepare leadership reports.
• Collaborate with hospital leaders and program directors to engage donors and foster philanthropy.
