Arrupe College at Loyola University Chicago seeks an Assistant Dean for Student Success to oversee student programming, organizations, and leadership development. You will guide students through orientation, mentoring, and social-emotional support to foster an inclusive campus experience.

You will supervise the Coordinator of Student Life and collaborate with faculty and staff to align programs with Jesuit values. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, or related field with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience advising student organizations and planning student programs.
• Experience designing and facilitating leadership development programs.
• Knowledge of student development and leadership development theories.
• Experience working with first-generation students and students of color; culturally competent.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Workshop facilitation experience; teaching experience preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings/weekends.

Aufgaben

• Collaborates with administrators on long and short-term strategic plans to complement college’s mission and goals.
• Organizes and facilitates an array of student programming at Arrupe College, including social, cultural, and co-curricular / non-academic programming (occasional evening and weekend work).
• Supervises Coordinator of Student Life.
• In collaboration with other Staff and Faculty, responds to immediate student needs and concerns as they arise.
• Serves as the primary Advisor to the Student Government of Arrupe College ( SGAC ).
• Oversees, provides structure and advisement for Arrupe College’s ten sponsored student organizations.
• Plans and executes the Spirit of Arrupe Orientation.
• Provides programming to support student leadership development, including an annual weekend-long leadership retreat, a leadership development seminar series, and training for Arrupe College’s Summer Enrichment Program Orientation Leaders.
• In collaboration with the Office of Academic Affairs, serves on the ACUNI (First Year Seminar) committee & supports ACUNI courses and programs.
• Serves as the primary liaison to related campus units at Loyola University Chicago.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
