Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Assistant Customer Experience Manager is responsible for the following duties, among others:

  1. Promotes excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer-focused behavior with associates. Greets customers, answers questions, and resolves concerns promptly and professionally. Focuses on continuous improvement in all areas of the department.
  2. Assists the Customer Experience Manager in overseeing front-end operations and performs their duties in their absence. May assume full responsibility for store operations if management is absent.
  3. Enforces cash handling controls and security measures to prevent losses. Complies with all policies and regulations related to front-end operations, including legal requirements.
  4. Supports cashiers with transactions and conducts audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  5. Assists in onboarding and training customer experience associates, implementing new programs, recognizing performance, and participating in performance reviews. Utilizes the LMS for training.
  6. Uses the auto-scheduler system to manage associate schedules, ensuring coverage and meeting labor and sales goals.
  7. Controls supply costs and maintains inventory levels to meet business demands.
  8. Manages customer flow at checkouts, monitors staffing, and ensures minimal wait times. Oversees lot attendant services.
  9. Operates checkout equipment, bags merchandise, and assists with customer questions regarding promotions and store layout.
  10. Maintains equipment functionality and reports issues promptly.
  11. Participates in daily store huddles, communicates promotions, and promotes sales through suggestive selling.
  12. Ensures safety and sanitation standards are met in parking lot, entrance, checkout, and department areas. Maintains cleanliness and health standards.
  13. Collaborates with team members to ensure department and store operations run smoothly and continuously seeks to improve job performance.
  14. May assist with receiving deliveries, unloading, and storing stock, and with other duties such as baling cardboard, if trained.
  15. Uses all provided PPE and may assist in other departments as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises all associates in the department and may take leadership of the store in the absence of management, depending on store size and staffing.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
