Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Knowledge of cross country training, competition, and coaching principles.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to recruit, mentor, and develop student-athletes in NCAA Division III.
• Ability to assist with planning and conducting practices, workouts, and competitions.
• Ability to monitor and support student-athlete academic progress and well-being.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and travel with the team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Track & Field and Cross Country in planning, organizing, and conducting cross country practices and training sessions.
• Provide instruction and coaching related to distance running, endurance development, race preparation, and training principles.
• Coach student-athletes during practices and competitions while promoting development and team cohesion.
• Assist with recruitment of qualified prospective student-athletes in accordance with NCAA Division III regulations.
• Support academic, personal, and athletic development and foster a positive team culture.
• Coordinate practice planning, meet preparation, travel logistics, and competition-day responsibilities.
• Assist with home meet operations, course preparation, and event management.
• Maintain recruiting, compliance, roster, and training records; monitor academic progress.
