Job summary

South Colonie Central School District is seeking an Assistant Cook Manager for Colonie Central High School to support the Cook Manager in staffing, food preparation, ordering, records, and sanitation. The role runs 7.0 hours per day from 6:15 a.m.

to 1:45 p.m., Monday through Friday, with a start date ASAP. Starting salary is Schedule P per the CSEA contract, at $28,618.00 per year, with typical district benefits.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of proven methods of food preparation.
• Working knowledge of modern cooking utensils, appliances and equipment.
• Ability to keep simple records and submit reports.
• Ability to get along well with children and adults.
• Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
• Six (6) months of experience in large-scale cooking.

CURRENT LOCATION: Colonie Central High School - West Wing

HOURS: 7.0hours per day -6:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Monday - Friday

START DATE: ASAP

RESPONSIBILITIES: To support and assist the cook manager in all phases of staffing, food preparation and ordering, record keeping and maintaining of sanitation standards.
