Job summary

Westminster St. Augustine, part of Westminster Communities of Florida, is hiring a Cook Assistant I to prepare salads, cold sandwiches and pantry items and assist the cook with hot items as needed.

This full-time role serves residents, staff and guests in a friendly, mission-driven environment. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, Florida SafeStaff certification or ability to obtain within 90 days, and at least 12 months of full-service culinary experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Florida SafeStaff certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of date of hire.
• Minimum 12 months experience in a full-service culinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs limited hot food preparation under direct supervision of the cook following standardized recipes.
• Prepares cold foods such as salads and sandwiches.
• Distributes prepared food to service areas accurately and restocks items as needed.
• Cleans and maintains station with proper sanitation and organization.
