Job summary

Glencoe High School is seeking an Assistant Cook to assist with inventory, food preparation and serving, and to maintain a clean kitchen. This part-time role at Glencoe High School offers a schedule Monday–Friday and pay range per hour.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent, English communication skills, and a Food Handlers certification, with experience in industrial kitchen equipment and sanitation standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications, including but not limited to email and systems applications
• Hold a valid Food Handlers certification
• Experience in the use and maintenance of industrial kitchen equipment
• Knowledge of ingredients, supplies and methods used in cooking
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety regulations for chemical use in the kitchen
