SAFARI Montage is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in overseeing accounting operations and financial reporting. This is a hands-on, remote role with a growth path to Controller within 1 year.

• CPA certification a plus and preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience.

Responsabilidades

Role Description

SAFARI Montage is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in overseeing the organization's accounting operations and financial reporting. This is a hands-on role with a growth path to the Controller position within 1 year. This position is remote. Candidates must be available to work Eastern Time business hours. Candidates located in DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, MA, MD, MI, NC, NJ, PA or SC preferred.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Direct preparation of budget and forecasting processes;
• Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations;
• Cash flow projections;
• Preparation of month-end closing entries;
• Monthly operational reports and financial analysis;
• Bank reconciliation;
• Sales & use tax to include filing applications and returns;
• Manage annual workers’ compensation audit;
• Fixed asset accounting;
• Coordinates with other departments to maintain customer renewal file;
• Accounting for ASC 842 and ASC 606 compliance;
• Manage company credit card program;
• Interface with outside tax accountants;
• Ad hoc financial analysis; and,
• Other duties as assigned.

Develop proficiencies in the following areas that are required for the Controller position

• Preparation of financial statements, and financial reporting package;
• Preparation of quarterly royalty reports;
• Oversee Accounts Receivable to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable components including billings and cash receipts;
• Oversee Accounts Payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash control, and payroll processing back up;
• Review state tax returns prepared by outside tax accountants;
• Foreign tax reporting;
• Daily monitoring of cash flow position;
• 1099 year-end reporting; and,
• Ad hoc reporting for Legal Department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance;
• CPA certification a plus;
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on accounting managerial experience;
• Advanced knowledge of Excel is a must;
• Advanced financial modeling skills;
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Epicor a plus;
• Problem solving and analytical skills required; and,
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary

• Assistant Controller $130,000
• Completion of transition to Controller $160,000
