Job summary

Pinion is seeking an Assistant Controller on the PAS team to coordinate between bookkeepers, controllers, tax, and A&A for timely, accurate client deliverables.

This role blends hands-on accounting with project leadership and client service, supervising 2-4 bookkeepers and interacting with clients across agriculture-focused engagements. Flexible work arrangements are available, including remote, hybrid, or in-office options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3 to 5 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with financial reporting.
• Demonstrated success in preparing and presenting accounting client deliverables.
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience is valued.
• Experience working with agricultural clients is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Client Service & Relationship Management: coordinate the collection of financial data and supporting documentation.
• Financial Reporting & Close Management: review statements and support monthly/quarterly close processes.
• Team Leadership & Supervision: supervise 2-4 bookkeepers and mentor staff.
• Process Improvement & Documentation: develop standardized accounting processes and templates.
• Systems & Technology: support accounting systems and troubleshoot issues.
