Job summary

Juna Financial Solutions is seeking a part-time Assistant Controller to join our remote, flexible team. You’ll manage client accounting cycles, maintain schedules, and support Juna’s Controllers on larger engagements while leveraging cloud-based tools.

Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of progressive GL accounting, GAAP knowledge, and strong Excel/BCS skills. You’ll thrive in a tech-enabled environment and mentor Accounting Associates as you grow into leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business required.
• Minimum 5 years progressive General Ledger accounting experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and regulatory understanding.
• Advanced Excel skills; Power Query/Power BI a plus.
• Experience with Google Workspace and QuickBooks Online.
• Ability to thrive in a rapidly evolving technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform full-cycle cash and accrual accounting including A/R, A/P, payroll and monthly close.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain organized workpapers.
• Utilize cloud-based technologies and related integrations with multiple tools.
• Onboard new clients and manage client service expectations.
• Prepare financial statements, KPI reports and variance analyses.
