Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions is partnered with a family-owned Milwaukee manufacturer seeking an Assistant Controller to support all accounting functions and prepare for a future Controller role. This hands-on position provides exposure to financial operations, budgeting, and project cost accounting within a stable manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements.
Experience using ERP and accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting activities including AR, AP, payroll, GL, and close processes.
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Prepare and analyze financial statements and operational reports.
Support inventory valuation, product costing, and margin analysis.
Strengthen internal controls and documentation of processes.
Assist with audits, tax filings, fixed asset accounting, and compliance.
