Job summary

OneSearch Partners is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead the accounting function and manage a team of three (AP, Payroll, and Staff Accountant). The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, process improvements, and supporting the CFO across multi-entity operations.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong AP/closing expertise, and the ability to guide onsite and remote staff in a fast-paced environment. CPA preferred and onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility.
• Strong expertise in accounts payable and closing processes.
• Experience with multi-entity structures, preferably in construction, design, or related industries.
• Demonstrated success managing both onsite and remote employees.
• Ability to work onsite full-time.
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for AP, payroll, and GL across multiple entities.
• Manage and mentor a three-member accounting team.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes across entities.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies, processes, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external CPA firm for audits, tax compliance, and technical accounting support.
• Collaborate with the CFO on financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.
• Assist with allocation of shared administrative costs across business units.
• Serve as a resource and mentor to the accounting team.
