Job summary

Ballistic Advantage LLC is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller in Florida to build the accounting foundation for a growing firearms manufacturing business. You will lead cost and inventory accounting, own month-end close, and partner with Operations to drive performance and scalable processes.

This hands-on role emphasizes turning financial data into actionable insights, strengthening controls, and supporting future ERP implementations to sustain long-term growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Strong manufacturing and cost/inventory accounting experience
• CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Manage general ledger, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
• Own manufacturing cost accounting, inventory valuation, and variance analysis
• Partner with Operations to understand cost drivers and improve performance
• Analyze inventory activity, cycle counts, and inventory controls
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and working capital planning
• Help establish accounting processes, controls, and reporting for a growing organization
• Collaborate with leadership on financial analysis and business decisions
• Support audit, tax, banking, and compliance requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting, systems, and operational efficiency
• Assist with future ERP implementation and process improvements
