MBC Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller to assist the Controller with daily accounting operations and to supervise Staff Accountants.

The role focuses on ensuring accurate financial reporting, enforcing internal controls, and maintaining GAAP compliance across the organization. The candidate will collaborate with multiple departments to improve processes, automate tasks, and support the company's financial health.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Five+ years accounting experience.
• Supervisory or management experience preferred.
• CPA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing daily operations of the accounting department.
• Directly supervise Staff Accountants and other accounting personnel.
• Coordinate monthly and annual financial close activities.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for accuracy.
• Monitor general ledger activity and investigate variances.
• Assist with budgets, audits, tax support, and financial reporting requirements.
• Prepare monthly Work In Process report and support cash management.
