Integrity Trade Services is seeking an Assistant Controller for our manufacturing client in Hammond, IN. The role oversees accounting functions, internal controls, and financial reporting on GAAP standards, with direct responsibility for budgeting and audits.

The position offers up to $80k annual salary (DOE) and comprehensive benefits through the client upon hire. Immediate start and a strong focus on process improvement and team leadership are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Strong leadership, management, and supervisory abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with accounting and tax-preparation software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or comparable software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and guide the company’s accounting functions and financial operations.
• Develop, maintain, and document accounting policies and procedures; establish internal controls to reduce risk.
• Oversee preparation of recurring financial reports and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Recommend performance benchmarks to evaluate financial and operational results.
• Prepare and manage the annual budget and forecasts; communicate variances to management.
• Conduct financial analysis related to capital investments, pricing, and contracts.
• Lead tax-planning efforts throughout the fiscal year.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide documentation for audits.
• Ensure adherence to reporting and compliance requirements.
• Direct the Accounting Department, including AP/AR, financial reporting, billing, payroll oversight.
• Manage staff development and training needs.
