Job summary

Harris is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to support the month, quarter, and year-end close with a focus on IFRS 15 revenue recognition for software contracts. You will review acquisitions, PPAs, and provide guidance to the finance team, collaborating with leadership and external auditors.

The role can be based in Ottawa or remotely within Canada, with some travel. A CPA designation and strong IFRS background are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Undergrad degree in business, finance, or accounting.
• CPA designation completed or in progress.

Responsibilities

• Review complex revenue recognition for software contracts under IFRS 15.
• Review purchase price allocations for acquisitions and related reconciliations.
• Support implementation of new accounting standards through research and collaboration.
• Perform variance analysis across Harris entities and units.
• Review account reconciliations and provide coaching to accounting staff.
