Harris Finance is seeking a Financial Analyst to collaborate with Analysts and the divisional Controller, delivering financial support and analysis for the division. You will own month-end close, post journal entries, and perform detailed reconciliations while supporting revenue recognition under IFRS.

You will work with operational managers to understand business performance, provide insights, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• Effective communicator with experience across management levels.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• IFRS accounting experience is ideal; CIMA/ACCA study support available.

Responsabilités

• Own and deliver timely month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, and fixed assets.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and management commentary.
• Support revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting per policies and IFRS.
• Maintain fixed asset and lease accounting schedules and assist with quarterly disclosures.
• Prepare audit support schedules and respond to audit requests.
• Collaborate with operational managers to provide financial insights.
• Identify process improvements for closer efficiency.
• Assist with ad hoc analyses and special projects.

Harris Finance is seeking a Financial Analyst to work closely with fellow Analysts and the divisional Controller in providing financial support and analysis for the division.

What will be your new role

• Own and deliver timely and accurate month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, deferred revenue, and fixed asset accounting.
• Complete detailed balance sheet reconciliations and investigate/resolve reconciling items.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and commentary for senior management.
• Support revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting in accordance with company policies and IFRS.
• Maintain fixed asset and lease accounting schedules. And support on quarterly note disclosures.
• Prepare audit support schedules and respond to internal and external audit requests.
• Partner with operational managers to understand business performance and provide financial insight.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, reporting, and the efficiency of month-end close activities.
• Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as required.
• Some accounting qualification level required
• IFRS accounting experience ideal
• CIMA / ACCA study support available

Compensation Details

The potential salary range for this role is $48,000 to $55,000 per year, with eligibility for bonus or merit program. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity. We offer a competitive Total Rewards program including health benefits, RRSP matching, stock option, and career development opportunities.
