Job summary

Alyeska Resort, a premier Alaska destination, seeks an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in financial stewardship. The role drives accurate financial reporting, close processes, and robust internal controls while partnering with resort leadership to improve profitability and guest experience.

You will oversee accounting activities, assist with budgets and forecasts, and lead process improvements across the finance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• CPA designation or active enrollment preferred.
• Progressive accounting experience with leadership exposure.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and internal controls.
• Experience with hospitality or multi-department operations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and packages.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensure accuracy and deadlines.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for review.
• Monitor balance sheet accounts and maintain fixed asset records.
• Support daily, weekly, and monthly reporting and dashboards.
• Assist cash flow monitoring and weekly financial performance reporting.
• Aid in budgeting, forecasting, and cost planning across departments.
