Colaska Inc. in Anchorage seeks an experienced Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller to lead the financial function and become a future financial leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance; 7+ years accounting experience.
• Construction industry accounting experience including WIP reporting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS including revenue recognition and lease accounting.
• Experience managing a small team; CPA/CMA certification preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with JDE, Sage, Timberline a plus.

Responsibilities

• Track cash position and assist in cash forecasting and reporting of net financial position.
• Prepare, review and analyze financial information to ensure integrity is maintained.
• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes with journal entries, reconciliations and consolidated IFRS & GAAP reporting.
• Supervise accounting staff
• Assist with annual budgeting and monthly forecasting
• Prepare tax worksheets and support schedules
• Participate in audits
• Maintain internal control procedures
• Support Colas ethics and business principles
• Ad hoc projects and reporting as needed.
