Job summary

Alyeska Resort is seeking an Assistant Controller to join the Finance team, supporting the Controller in financial stewardship. This role contributes to financial reporting, budgeting, and controls while developing the accounting team.

Reporting to the Controller, you will help with month-end processes, labor planning, and operational dashboards, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of reports for leadership and guests of the resort in Alaska.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; hospitality background preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field; CPA preferred.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under the Controller.
• Support month-end and year-end close and ensure accuracy and deadlines.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for Controller review.
• Monitor balance sheet accounts and maintain fixed assets records.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, labor planning, and dashboards.
• Provide analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for leadership.
