Mountain State Oral & Facial Surgery seeks an Assistant Corporate Controller to assist the Controller in overseeing all accounting and financial operations, ensuring GAAP compliance and robust risk management. You will lead a team of accounting professionals and collaborate with operations and marketing to support strategic growth.

This role demands experience in multi-entity reporting, budgeting, audits, and tax coordination, with emphasis on internal controls and timely financial statements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management with healthcare focus preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Experience with multi-entity organization and inter-company transactions.
• Proficiency in financial accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
• Experience in risk management and leadership of accounting teams.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities; experience managing a team.
• Experience in M&A due diligence is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller in overseeing and managing the entire accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory standards.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow).
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard assets.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting with detailed financial analysis.
• Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Support tax preparation activities with the CPA firm.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
• Assist in M&A activities including due diligence and reporting.
• Partner with Controller and Treasury on cash flow and treasury activities.
