Job summary

Legent Health in Plano, TX is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Controller by overseeing daily accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance across a multi-entity healthcare organization.

The role partners with Revenue Cycle, HR/Payroll, Supply Chain and Operations; leads internal controls, year-end audits, and system improvements with Sage Intacct, ADP and Concur; CPA-eligible and 5+ years of healthcare accounting are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in healthcare, multi-entity, or private-equity backed organizations.
• Experience with general ledger systems (e.g., Sage Intacct) and financial reporting tools.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control principles.
• Proven experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, and reconciliations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, fixed assets, and GL maintenance.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial schedules to ensure accuracy.
• Oversee multi-entity accounting processes, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
• Assist with maintaining and optimizing the chart of accounts and financial reporting structures.
• Lead monthly close and support year-end audits and external auditors.
