Job summary

Legent Health is seeking an Assistant Controller in Plano, TX to support the Controller with daily accounting operations, month-end close, and consolidated financial reporting across entities. You will work closely with Revenue Cycle, HR/Payroll, and Operations to ensure accuracy and timely leadership-facing reporting.

The role requires a strong GAAP foundation, SOX familiarity, and 5+ years in healthcare accounting. CPA preferred, with opportunities for process improvements and staff mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field is required.
• CPA or CPA-eligible strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in healthcare or multi-entity environments.
• Experience with GAAP, internal controls, and month-end close is essential.
• Proficiency with Sage Intacct and financial reporting tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller in overseeing daily accounting operations and month-end close.
• Support financial reporting, audits, and compliance activities across multiple entities.
• Maintain internal controls and SOX-aligned processes in a healthcare setting.
• Collaborate with HR, payroll, revenue cycle, supply chain, and operations.
• Lead system upgrades and process improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Provide guidance and training to staff accountants and AP/AR teams.
