Job summary

Homecare Homebase, a Hearst Health company, seeks an Assistant Controller to lead core accounting functions, close processes, and internal controls from our Dallas area office. You will partner with FP&A, Revenue Cycle, and Operations to ensure accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

The role requires a CPA and 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory exposure, with strong US GAAP knowledge and ERP expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with supervision/controller exposure.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls, and accounting operations.
• Experience with large-scale ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, Oracle Fusion).
• Healthcare, SaaS, or high-growth industry experience is a plus.
• Ability to mentor teams and drive scalable processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes in accordance with US GAAP.
• Manage accounting operations, policies, and internal controls to ensure data integrity.
• Lead balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses with supporting documentation.
• Coordinate external audits, tax/compliance reviews, and SOX/internal control readiness.
• Mentor GL, AP/AR staff and foster cross-functional collaboration with FP&A and Operations.
• Support ERP optimization and finance system improvements.
