Job summary

EverPeak, based in Denver, is seeking an Assistant Controller with seven years of accounting/finance experience and GAAP/statutory emphasis to lead internal accounting and financial reporting. You will oversee AP/AR, cash management, audits, and regulatory compliance, while driving consolidation and integration for acquisitions.

The role requires a CPA or public accounting background, strong leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with business partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
• Seven years of accounting/finance experience with statutory and GAAP emphasis preferred.
• CPA certification and/or public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage internal accounting to produce accurate, timely financial reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management.
• Coordinate external and internal audits and implement controls.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and liaise with legal and HR.
• Lead consolidation accounting with Pinnacol and EverPeak teams.
• Oversee finance integration for acquisitions and subsidiaries.
• Guide budgeting, variance analyses, and financial planning.
• Oversee GL setup and ancillary systems; present results to senior management.
• Provide accounting guidance research and actionable recommendations.
• Identify process improvements and maintain strong controls.
