Job summary

Balanced Body, a leading Pilates equipment designer and manufacturer, is seeking an analytical Assistant Controller to join the Accounting team in Sacramento. You will record daily transactions, assist with month-end close, and support reporting and compliance across A/R, A/P, Payroll, and consolidated financials.

You’ll collaborate with accounting professionals to ensure accuracy, maintain controls, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with general ledger, month-end close and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and MS Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting records, ledgers, and reporting per GAAP and regulatory standards.
• Lead month/year-end close activities and bank reconciliations.
• Support international accounting processes and FX translations.
• Maintain internal controls and safeguard financial transactions.
• Oversee licensing, registrations, and sales tax reporting.
• Coordinate with third-party payroll and tax calculations.
• Prepare periodic management reports and assist with tax return support.
• Act as back-up to accounting team as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
