Satellite Industries seeks an Assistant Controller to support the Controller in overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and compliance across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. The role blends technical accounting with hands-on leadership and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate brings strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, solid analytical skills, and experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Five+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• CPA or CMA preferred or in progress.
• Experience with ERP systems (Sage X3 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Coordinate month, quarter, and year-end close activities with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Explain results, trends, and risks to leadership and stakeholders.
• Oversee general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, and cost accounting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain internal controls and coordinate audits and tax filings.
