Job summary

Engineers Gate is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the financial operations of the firm's Management Company entities across foreign jurisdictions. Reporting to the Controller, this role leads accounting, financial reporting, and compliance for the region, with close collaboration across the global Finance team.

Based in New York, you will own month-end close, intercompany accounting, and statutory reporting, while ensuring accurate consolidation into the US parent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification required.
• Up to 10 years in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Experience with Sage Intacct ERP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end statutory accounting for subsidiary entities, including month-end close.
• Maintain and review general ledger; post journal entries including inter-company transactions.
• Manage cash, accounts payable, expense allocations, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and consolidation into US parent.
• Support annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
• Oversee payroll review and local employer obligations.
