Stavis Seafoods, a Profand Company, is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our finance team in Boston, MA. You will oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and manage general ledger activities to ensure accuracy and GAAP compliance.

You will support budgeting, cash flow analysis, and forecasting, identify process improvements, and mentor accounting staff as the organization grows, contributing to robust financial controls and timely reporting.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• +5 years of progressive accounting and financial management experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts.
• Proficiency with financial software and/ or ERP systems.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor team members while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage general ledger activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and balance sheet analysis.
• Support budgeting processes, cash flow analysis, and financial forecasting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting systems, and financial controls.
• Maintain accurate and timely financial records in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
• Support tax compliance and other regulatory reporting requirements.
• Lead, develop, and oversee accounting staff as the organization grows.
• Assist with special projects and other financial initiatives as needed.
