Job summary

Mid-South Milling Company, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller to join our finance team. You will prepare and analyze financial records, ensure accuracy, and provide management with timely reports.

Responsibilities include audits, inventory and quality control, maintaining balance sheets and general ledgers, and supporting annual audit preparations. You will also help develop new accounting processes and manage accounting staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in accounting or related fields.
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and Adobe.
• Detail- and deadline-oriented work style.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team! You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and examine accounting records, financial statements, taxes, and other financial reports
• Preparing management reports
• Inventory control and Quality control
• Assist in the formulation of internal controls and policies to comply with legislation and established best practices
• Perform audits, ensuring adherence to standard requirements
• Create new processes to improve financial efficiency
• Support most aspects of accounting management (billing, tax forms, reporting etc.)
• Learn all aspects of the accounting system and managing accounting personnel

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• Previous experience in accounting or other related fields

Job Duties:
