Job summary

SIG SAUER, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Controller to support the Finance and Accounting function, focusing on daily accounting operations, internal controls, GAAP compliance, and FAET expertise.

This on-site role manages the vendor master in Oracle EBS and collaborates across Accounts Payable, Receivable, FP&A, Treasury, and more. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical background, ERP experience (Oracle EBS), and leadership capabilities to mentor a growing team while driving process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required; Master's preferred; CPA preferred but not required.
• Experience in cost, inventory, and financial reporting; ERP experience preferred.
• Serve as financial advisor on internal controls, compliance, and risk mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Controller in developing and maintaining internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Provide input and accuracy with vendor master in Oracle EBS, including adding vendors and confirming bank payment instructions.
• Review and verify requests to add vendors to vendor master, ensuring integrity.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close and GAAP reporting.
• Oversee maintenance and enhancement of accounting systems and ERP-related functions.
• Lead FAET calculations with Sage and input into Oracle GL management with Wands; optimize ERP processes.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and provide schedules and documentation.
• Prepare internal financial reports and analyze variances to budget/forecast.
• Assist cost centers and subsidiaries with budget preparation.
• Participate in interview process; onboarding and development of new talent.
• Coach and mentor employees; foster continuous improvement and teamwork.
• Coordinate training and development opportunities.
• Foster a team environment, growth of skills, and resource readiness.
• Provide timely feedback and manage performance documentation.
• Engage in continuous improvement and 5S standards; follow Safety and ISO procedures.
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
