Jobtailor is seeking an experienced accounting leader to manage daily operations, close processes, and financial reporting in a fast-paced US environment. You will partner with cross-functional teams, drive internal controls, and support audits while mentoring staff.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of progressive experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and hands-on ERP systems experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and audit processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail with accuracy and integrity.
  • U.S. applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • For applicable export-controlled positions, must be a U.S. Person under ITAR or eligible for approval for a U.S. Government export license.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, GL, payroll accounting, and fixed assets.
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial schedules.
  • Support audits with documentation and explanations.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on financial analysis, cost tracking, and improvements.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting cycles and monitor variances.
  • Help implement and optimize financial systems, tools, and reporting automation.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff and promote continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
