Job summary

RoviSys Company is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our Finance & Accounting team in Ohio. This hands-on role will manage the monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls for a multi-entity organization.

The ideal candidate has 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and the ability to work independently. CPA preferred but not required; excellent communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership of a monthly close.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and independently complete the monthly financial close from start to finish.
• Establish and maintain a disciplined monthly close schedule and ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, deferrals, prepaids, fixed assets and other month-end adjustments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate unusual activity.
• Provide meaningful financial analysis and explanations of monthly results.
• Collaborate with operations to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.
