McDonald Automotive Group in Littleton, CO is seeking an Assistant Controller – Fixed Operations to provide financial leadership across dealership services and inventory.

Reporting to Senior Controller, you will partner with Service Managers, Parts Managers, and real estate operations to ensure accurate accounting and strong controls. The role offers stability in a family-owned organization with a long Colorado history.

Qualifications

• Progressive accounting experience with GL, month-end close, and financial-statement analysis.
• Experience analyzing P&L performance and communicating results to non-accounting leaders.
• Experience with inventory accounting, reconciliation, and internal controls.
• Experience supervising accounting staff and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting oversight for real estate, inventory, and insurance-related entities.
• Lead month-end close and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
• Interpret financial results for operational leadership and drive performance improvements.
• Develop and coach accounting teams, maintaining policy compliance and controls.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure documentation standards.
