Job summary

McDonald Automotive Group in Littleton, CO is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller – Variable Operations to lead vehicle-inventory and sales accounting across our multi-brand dealership group.

Reporting to the Senior Controller, you will oversee four portfolios, coach accounting managers, and collaborate with Sales Directors to ensure accurate month-end close and strong internal controls across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• At least three years of progressive dealership‑accounting experience including general-ledger accounting and month-end close.
• Experience with vehicle-inventory accounting and reconciliation.
• Experience supervising accounting employees and communicating with Sales Directors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee vehicle inventory and sales accounting across assigned locations.
• Lead four accounting portfolios serving approx. three dealerships each.
• Partner with Sales Directors to address accounting issues affecting operations and performance.
• Lead month-end close activities and ensure accurate financial statements and reports.
