Job summary

Taylor Morrison Inc. in Sarasota, FL, seeks an Assistant Controller to work with the Controller and review division financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, payables/receivables, budgeting, and headcount.

You will own the month-end close, produce weekly and monthly reports, assist with budgets and forecasts, prepare cash flow information, and support intercompany reconciliations and fixed-asset maintenance. FLSA status: Exempt.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
• Strong Excel skills; experience with Newstar and Soloman preferred.
• Experience in accounting roles within homebuilder or real estate is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead division reporting and month-end close with review by Controller/VP Finance.
• Prepare weekly cash flow, variance and other operating reports.
• Coordinate budgeting, forecasting, and subdivision files.
• Prepare payroll calculations and sales commissions.
• Maintain GL and bank reconciliations; oversee fixed asset entries.
