Job summary

Bell & Associates, Inc. seeks a Controller to lead the accounting and finance function at one of its largest operations. This senior, hands-on leadership role reports to executive leadership and guides a team across accounting, cost accounting, and FP&A.

You will oversee close, reporting, budgeting, and financial analysis, partner with operations, ensure internal controls, and present results to the senior team. A CPA is strongly preferred along with cost accounting and audit experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Cost accounting experience required.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting background.
• Experience with inventory controls and internal controls.
• Experience managing or supporting financial audits.
• Leadership experience managing an accounting/finance team.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to senior leadership.
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
• FP&A experience preferred.
• IFRS experience is a plus, but not required.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar ERP is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting and finance function for a large operation.
• Manage and develop a team across accounting, cost accounting, and FP&A.
• Oversee monthly and year-end close, financial reporting, and technical accounting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and financial modeling.
• Oversee cost accounting, inventory accounting, and related controls.
• Maintain strong internal controls and financial processes.
• Manage the annual financial audit.
• Evaluate capital investments and other financial opportunities.
• Partner with operational leadership on financial performance, cost management, and business decisions.
• Present financial results, forecasts, and analysis to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and company reporting requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting, and controls.
