Job summary

ARCO, a Family of Construction Companies, seeks an Assistant Controller with audit experience to join our Kansas City accounting team. This role reports to the Controller and serves as a trusted consultant to each Regional Manager, helping ensure timely, accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

Responsibilities include monthly statements, job-cost reconciliations, resolving accounting issues, coordinating with project managers on subcontracts and insurance, and supporting a

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting with 3-5 years of public or construction accounting experience.
• CPA and/or Master’s degree required.
• Ability to establish good working relationships with Senior Management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reconcile job cost for the various companies.
• Monitor accounting transactions throughout the month and resolve issues.
• Partner on insurance and collaborate with Project Managers on subcontracts and insurance issues.
• Work on multiple projects monthly as delegated by the Controller.
• Respond to information requests and analysis from Regional Managers.
