Job summary

Venteon in Ohio seeks an Assistant Controller to join our client’s growing manufacturing team. You will present monthly financial results to the Controller, department heads, and corporate leadership, and lead month-end close within a one-week timeline.

You will partner with department leaders to develop accurate forecasts, review and approve journal entries, coordinate the annual budgeting process, and monitor cost variances.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.

Responsibilities

• Present monthly financial results to the Controller, department heads, and corporate leadership.
• Lead month-end close processes within a one-week timeline and oversee day-to-day finance operations.
• Partner with department leaders to develop accurate financial forecasts.
• Review and approve journal entries while maintaining strong internal control procedures.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process and monitor departmental and cost variance accountability.
• Manage both external and internal audit processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
