Job summary

OVE seeks a Controller in Ohio to partner with the CFO and Director of FP&A to drive annual and multi-year plans, growth, and profitability. You will oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain GAAP compliance while developing the accounting function and guiding a professional team.

Responsibilities include close processes, internal controls, policy development, staff mentoring, and audit liaison.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting; CPA status a plus.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting management experience, construction industry preferred.
• Proficiency with ComputerEase.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Finance Department with the CFO and FP&A to optimize annual/multi-year plans.
• Oversee daily and end-of-period accounting and financial close processes.
• Manage compliance and internal controls, ensuring GAAP adherence and asset protection.
• Develop and document accounting policies, procedures, and internal reporting tools.
• Hire, train, and mentor accounting staff; delegate work and evaluate performance.
• Engage with auditors and act as a liaison for audit requirements.
