The role reports to the VP of Finance and covers reporting, month-end close, payroll, fixed assets, audits, and process improvements. You will partner with Sales, Shipping, HR, Operations, and others to resolve accounting issues, while leveraging Excel and the company ERP/legacy system to analyze financial data and drive

Qualifications

• Experience with general ledger activity and month-end close.
• Experience preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Experience overseeing payroll processes.
• Experience leading or mentoring accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial and operational reporting to support business decisions.
• Manage daily accounting processes, cash reporting, bank activity, and reconciliations.
• Lead, coach, and support the accounting team while balancing workload.
• Oversee weekly payroll and resolve complex payroll issues.
• Own portions of month-end and year-end close, including GL reconciliations and journal entries.
• Support audits, tax prep, inventory, and fixed asset reporting.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, HR, Operations and others on accounting issues.
• Use Excel and ERP/legacy system to pull and analyze financial data.
