Job summary

Function is seeking a proactive Assistant Controller to design, implement, and scale our accounting infrastructure. You will manage the general ledger, consolidations, AP, payroll, and intercompany cross-charges while ensuring GAAP compliance across domestic and international entities.

You will design scalable accounting policies, optimize ERP systems, and lead month-end close with a focus on automation and real-time insights for leadership.

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent is required and CPA preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with multi-entity and multi-currency accounting and international taxes/regulations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage the general ledger, consolidations, AP, payroll and intercompany cross-charges across entities.
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Support external audits and investor reporting requirements.
• Build dashboards and reporting tools for real-time financial insights for leadership.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members.
• Partner with Controller to optimize ERP, procurement, and T&E tools with automation focus.

• We’re seeking a proactive, hands-on Assistant Controller to help design, implement, and scale our accounting infrastructure
• You’ll be instrumental in building the processes, systems, and reporting capabilities that will support our growth

• Design and implement scalable accounting policies, processes, and controls to support rapid growth
• Partner with the Controller to optimize a modern ERP, procurement, and T&E tools, and systems, with a focus on automation and AI-driven efficiencies
• Lead month-end and quarter-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP
• Oversee accounting for international operations and support global tax matters
• Support external audits and investor reporting requirements
• Build dashboards and reporting tools to provide real-time financial insights to leadership
• Mentor and develop accounting team members
• Stay current on emerging accounting tech, AI tools, and process automation best practices
