Summary

The role involves establishing the financial status of the company by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting financial information. This includes closing all account reconciliations and managing staff.

Responsibilities

• **Achieving Accounting Goals** - We achieve accounting goals by selecting and training team members, assigning tasks, scheduling work, and monitoring performance while enforcing policies.
• **Meeting Operational Goals** - We help meet operational goals through financial reporting and providing key accounting information, solving problems, supporting audits, identifying trends, and suggesting improvements.
• **Addressing Financial Goals** - We meet financial goals by taking corrective actions when needed.
• **Maintaining Accounting Controls** - We ensure strong accounting practices through our chart of accounts and clear policies.
• **Ensuring Security** - We protect financial security with internal controls for accounts receivable and cash applications.
• **Protecting Confidentiality** - We safeguard our value by keeping sensitive information confidential.
• **Managing Unclaimed Property** - We track unclaimed property, preparing annual reports and monitoring them monthly to quickly resolve issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible accounting experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of management experience
• Proven experience as an Assistant Controller, or a similar role
• Intermediate computer skills with MS Office, accounting software, and databases
• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
