Computer Generated Solutions (CGS), is a global tech. company with 8,500+ employees worldwide. We are seeking a hands-onAssistant Controllerto join our growing corporate finance division based at our New York headquarters. CGS is located in the premier downtown location – Brookfield Place.

Hybrid Role:

• Remote on Fridays
• In-office in downtown NYC, Monday through Thursday.

Summary:

The ideal candidate has experience working for 2-3 years in a CPA firm and 2-3 years in a private/public company. This individual will be supporting the Chief Accounting Officer with closing activities and the Controller with revenue recognition/project profitability.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, proactive, hands-on and eager to take the next step in their career in a fast paced-environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to the Controller and other members of the finance team.
• Hands-on with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Assist in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Help in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
• Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist with financial audits.
• Help in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
• Proven experience as an Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or in a similar role, with a strong focus on month-end/year-end close processes.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting procedures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
• Experience with financial reporting and financial analysis.
• Knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.
